About this part

A post-type bar uses strong upright posts either side of the winch cradle rather than full loops across the grille. The front stays open for airflow and sensors, there is room for a winch and driving lights, and the rated recovery points are part of the bar itself.

The TF BT-50 shares its chassis with the D-Max but has its own front panels, so bars are made specifically for the Mazda.

Fitting in Miami

Fitting is usually a full day in our Miami workshop. The factory bumper comes off and the bar mounts to the chassis rails, then we move fog lights, parking sensors and the front camera across where your vehicle has them, aim the headlights and test every sensor before you collect it. If you want a winch or driving lights, we fit them in the same visit so the front end only comes apart once.

What we check before ordering

  • Your build date and grade, so the bar matches your bumper, sensor and camera layout
  • Which winch you want and how its control box mounts
  • Where the driving lights and UHF aerial will sit
  • Front ride height, because a steel bar and winch add weight over the front axle

Questions

Does OL125MA20 fit my Mazda BT-50?

OL125MA20 is listed for the Mazda BT-50 TF, 07/2020 on (MY21). The TF BT-50 shares its chassis with the D-Max but has its own front panels, so bars are made specifically for the Mazda.

How long does a bull bar fit take?

Drop the vehicle off in the morning and collect it in the afternoon. Adding a winch, lights or front springs can make it a two-day job, and we tell you that when we book it in.

Do I need uprated front springs?

Often, once a winch goes on. We measure ride height before and after, and if the front sits low we quote springs to suit. Doing it in the same visit costs less than coming back.

What happens to my parking sensors and front camera?

Opposite Lock lists each bar for specific models, including the sensor and camera layout. We move what needs moving and test everything before handback.
